So I've had a Harmony 890 for 5 years now, and it finally is on the fritz.. I wanted a cheap replacement and found the AVL300..

I got it in the mail yesterday, and I CANNOT for the life of me, get my PC to recognize it. I am running Win7 and XP dual boot.. Neither Windows versions can see it..

Here is what I've tried:
1. Install Logitech software and copy JRE directory over Monster JRE directory
2. Uninstall/reinstall all versions of the software
3. followed all Monster FAQ's to the T..

So either my PC hates this remote, or the USB port on the remote is bad. The AVL300 was purchased as "new."

TIA!

EDIT: After speaking with Monster tech support for the 2nd time, it was deemed that the REMOTE itself is bad. Bad news is, they don't repair those remotes anymore! I will be getting a refund from the purchaser though!
