I'm a bit new to this, bear with me.

I just bought this remote, and am having several issues with it, but I'll start with the first one for now.

My television model is not in the software. I have an LG 50PY3DF. The closest model in the software is the 50PY3D. Many functions work, but the main difference is that my TV has three HDMI inputs (HDMI1, HDMI2, HDMI3). The model from the software has only HDMI1 and HDMI2. So I'm unable to set the input to HDMI3 for any activities.

I've tried several other models from the list of similar model numbers it brings up. Some have HDMI1 and HDMI2. Most have no HDMI inputs. None have HDMI3.

Where do I go from here?

If you do not have those functions available to you on another remote, then you might want to send technical support an email requesting that they add them.

In the mean while, you can try creating a manual macro with HDMI2 + regular INPUT.

I have the original remote, but it doesn't have separate buttons for each input. It has "Input" and "TV Input".

I'm not sure how the HDMI2+Input will work. This TV's inputs are grayed out/inaccessible if they're not in use. HDMI2 is not active unless the BD player is on. I'll tinker with it now and see if anything happens.

Thanks.

Ah, one of those sets that's too smart for its own good!

If there was a way to get Pronto hex into the Xsight we might be able to help further, but otherwise we're at the mercy of UEI - or you buying a donor remote.

I think I have a temporary fix for the HDMI3 issue (another guy is trying to help me find a way to get the HDMI3 advanced code or something). I'll have it switch to HDMI1 for every activity. If it needs HDMI2, I have it set to press HDMI1>Input>Input (the first Input press opens the Input menu, and the second advances it to the next input). Same thing if I need HDMI3 -- HDMI1>Input>Input. It will skip HDMI2 since it's not active.

The major issue at the moment is the apparent poor response of the remote. I'm trying to find someone who has one to see if they have the same issue. It randomly just "misses" with its signals. Scrolling through cable channels, it seems like 3-4 out of 10 times, it doesn't respond/change the channel. Same thing with the Activity macros. It will frequently fail to turn a device on or off, though it works other times (ex. "Cable" activity; Cable box turns on, receiver turns on, TV doesn't this time).

I'm wondering if this remote is going to work out. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. But if it's going to "miss" this often, I'm afraid this won't do :(

Thanks for the help so far though. Hopefully this works out. If not, I'll have to look into another remote that's more responsive. I don't have the RF component for this one yet. I'm just using the plain old IR. No obstructions. Works sometimes. But fails a LOT...
