So i have searched my house inside out and up side down and can't find the tv remote. the vcr remote has the capablity to be universal (well at least i think so) but i don't have a manual. the vcr is a quasar vcr vh940. the tv is an older panisonic. help please

I don't know how to program the VCR remote, but you might find that the default TV code works your TV as Quasar and Panasonic are the same company. If you can't get it to work, I bet most universal remotes will work your set, though personally I would recommend the "One For All" brand.
