G'day one and all,

I've just purchased a Plustron URC11E-8A and can't seem to get the damned thing to work. I have the original instruction manual with me, so that's not a problem, and I've searched the whole forum site to no avail - I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have an AKAI video player (yes, its REALLY old) Model VS-F300 and none of the AKAI codes work. AND I can't find the code when I manually or automatically try to configure the device.

I also have a C-TECH (model CT-2402) DVD player. It works fine with its own remote, but again, I can't get the URC to configure to work it...

Did I get a dud? Should I take the URC back and swap it for another one? Or did I just throw good money down the drain?

I just tested the URC on our YAMAHA CD player and it worked first go.

Ok, now I know that the devide transmits properly - it appears I just need codes for the DVD and VHS players...

Any takers?
