I bought the Insignia T.V. and have been using the Comcast remote since I bought it. But I moved and don't have Comcast anymore and I tried the remote and it doesn't work. It has fresh batteries.

I am wondering if there is a power cycle or something of that sort to reset it.

The TV is an: Insignia NS-RTV32
The remote is a: RC-C01-0B
(at least that what it says on the bottom of the remote)

Most Comcast remotes are made by the same company as "One For All" remotes, so they use the same codes. If you recall which code you were using with the Comcast remote, you should be able to use the same code with an OFA remote.

Try the Admiral, emerson, mitsubishi, and philips tv codes in whatever remote you have.

I don't think I was clear. The remote that came with the T.V. is the only remote I have and THAT doesn't work. The T.V. was an open package so there is no instructions.

I will be getting tivo soon and I will just use that remote. Thanks for the help.

You were perfectly clear, which is why I recommended that you buy a cheap "One For All" remote to work your TV.
