Hello -

I know this isn't the typical remote number but it is all over the Internet. i don't know how to convert the number to the ones you use on here (RCU, etc.). I have all my codes and I need to know how to program this sucker. It has no code search or mode button, which is what I'm use to. My dog ate the manual.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
dawn

If you mean crk76sg2, Then just press and hold the TV device key as you enter the code you have.

Thanks Edmund -

I think you are right about the remote number. I tried to hold down the device key and enter the code for the TV but it didn't work. As far as I could discover there are only two codes for a Sony TV - 002 and 0027. My last remote took 0027, but I understand the number can change as the remote changes. I had six codes to try for my Philips Directv receiver and they didn't work either. I held down the Directv button while I tried each one. Is there an automatic way to try to run through all the codes with this remote?

Thanks
Dawn

Hello -

I'm replying to myself and asking a specific question or two. Then I am done being pesty. My CRK76SG2 RCA Universal remote accepted the code used for the D770 model, which is very similar, for my TV. It was a four digit code. However, I tried the Philips receiver codes for the D770 and they did not work. I have a Directv receiver (Philips) model DSX5353C. If anyone can get me the code for that receiver and my model remote I would be eternally grateful. I couldn't tell you how many years I've had the receiver, but it hasn't been long. If the remote is older than the receiver does that mean I'm screwed? BTW, Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks,
Dawn
