for Philips PMDVR8.
I have been trying to get the Philips remote to control my Directv HD receiver with no success. Is there a code for this?
any help is appreciated.

Sorry but no. The PMDVR8 was released over year before the first receiver to use the codeset that the HR20 is using was released.
