Hi, I just got the Time Warner box (Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR) and have the Synergy V remote with it. I hooked up the box and now my volume is quiet. Normally a good volume is around 15-20 but now I have to turn it up to 40-45 just to hear it good. Anyone know what is going on or any solutions to this problem? I have it hooked up via SD cable and two RC cables for sound. Thanks!

most cable boxes have their own vol, you usually set to medium then use tv vol from there. In the cable box device what does the vol keys control the tv or the cable box? It might have once controlled cable box, you lowered it to nothing then, then punch-through the tv vol overriding the cable vol.
check the manual on how to reset the remote or turn off the vol lock.
