I am having trouble programming my new RC2000MkII for my Elite Pro 1009 television. The remote says OK when I have it learn the codes, but it does not oeprate the television when I try it out.
Any suggestions?
The remote learns and works on my other equipment.

Some "Elite" equipment is known to operate at 1.4MHz - well beyond the RC2000's learning range of up to 1.25MHz (and most other remotes of up to 56KHz or 120KHz). What model year is your set?

Thanks for the reply. My model year is 1997 ( I'm pretty sure anyways!)
Any suggestions to make this thing work...or should I just bag it?
Thanks.

There's really not to much you can to - I haven't heard of any way around, except by continuing to use the original remote for that one device.

Actually, there is a workaround that might work ... some Pioneers that have that unusual high frequency range also accept another set of codes in the more normal ranges. You might try getting one of the OneForAll remotes (Cinema 6/7), and ordering their "advanced function codes" from the web site, then if that works with your TV, teach your Marantz from that. Also many Pioneer receiver remotes can control the Pioneer TV, and the Marantz can learn from one of those. You'd probably miss some functions that way though.
