Hi all,

I have the phillips direcTv universal remote. I can't get it to control a Viewsonic Flat LCD TV. I don't have the exact model of the TV and I apologize. Any or all Viewsonic codes would be great. So far DirecTv only suggests using 11755 as a code.

Can anybody help out?

Code 11755 is only found in this remote:

Yes, that is the remote that I have. That code doesn't work unfortunately :-( I've tried searching for the code by doing the channel up, TV off, channel up, TV off several times but to no avail. Are there any other viewsonic codes besides 11755?

BTW - I tried to paste the picture of the remote a while back but was unable to do so or else I would have had that info for you right away. How do you insert a picture if you don't mind me asking.

Also, just to clarify, I'm switching the switch to TV, then you press select and mute until TV light blinks. Then you enter the code and try TV off or volume up or something. There's another way they say you can try to 'search' for the code by doing the same steps except you enter 991 then 1 and do TV off, then chan up, then TV off, chan up, TV off, and so on.

No I don't think there are any other code, this white remote is made by UEI, same makers of the one-for-all line of universal remotes. The new OFA remotes have 4 codes for Viewsonic tv's, in addition too 1755, there are 0885, 0864, 0857. But none of these are in the white remote, even if you add the prefix 1****.

To post an image, the picture needs to hosted somewhere else first, then you do the following;

[IMG SRC="http://link"]

Of course you would replace the brackets [ with ,Less then & Greater then symbols. The space between IMG and SRC is not made by just hitting the return key, you need to tap the SPACEBAR, until the end of the first line, then typing SRC raps around to the next line.

You can demonstrate HTML by using &lt and &gt, like this...

<a href="your file name here">

and if you're wondering how I got &lt and &gt to display "as is" rather than being converted to < and >, I used &amp.

Viewsonic codes are the same as Phillips TV
I was going to return the TV
I took my Motorola remote to Costco to test another brand for my remote

The clerk said he could turn off a Phillips TV with the viewsonic remote
He thought it was a Phillips tuner inside

I got my code book out for the Motorola cable box remote and
viola!!! the first code I tried worked
In fact we tried all the 4 listed Phillips codes and they ALL worked

Let me tell you, I spent a lot of time searching prior to this
I called Viewsonic support, and the were NO help, and were not interested
The codes are 0054 or 1454 or 0690 or 1154
all 4 codes work for my remote

Let me know if this works for you
