I have Philips Universal remote control and I don't know what model it is. Top it looks like silver with frosted and blue buttons. It shows a little red light on left side for code search. There is two buttons that say code search frosted button and power blue button. There are four frosted buttons that say TV, VCR, DVD, and SAT/CBL. There are 9 numbered blue buttons from 1 to 9. There are three blue buttons that say enter, 0, and TV/VCR. There are four frosted buttons which are Guide, Menu, Info/Select, and Quit. There are two + blue buttons which are volume and channel. In center of frosted buttons of arrows, and in the middle of frosted button is OK. There are 8 frosted buttons that are prev chan, pip, toggle, mute, subtitle, - chapter, + chapter, and sleep. There are 6 blue buttons that say scan -
, play, scan +, rec, stop, and pause. At last it was written Philips Universal. I have codes paper, but the numbers for DirecTV did not work. I need the codes for DirecTV and I was told that I have DIRECTV D11 receiver. Please send code numbers of DIRECTV D11 receiver for Philips Universal Remote to LynnTrucky@aol.com. Thanks.

Trucky, your remotes sounds similar to the PMDVD5 remote described here...
[Link: remotecentral.com]

Therefore, I would suspect that your remote would respond to the same codes. The codes listed for DirecTV in that manual are: 863 864 564 763 963 259 260 263 962 664 065 265 465 765 866 966 367 567

However, the D10 and D11 are fairly new and they use a very complicated remote signal, so I don't know if any of those DTV codes are the right one. If none of them work, I suspect that your remote simply doesn't have a code for your DTV box.

It was the wrong one I'm afraid, this remote does 3-Button Codes, the one I'm looking for is the 4-Button Codes.

This is the link for the picture of the Remote.

It appears that there is more than one Philips remote with the PM-435S model number (which, of course, makes things very confusing). I've tried doing a Google search for this remote and was unable to find a user manual online. So, unless someone scans their manual and gives it to Daniel to put in the file section here at R/C, you're outta luck.

Trucky, your description perfectly matches the remote that Melyngar has, but we've been unable to find a manual for it.

I have a Philips Universal 6 Device Remote which looks nearly the same as the one that in The Robman's picture. The difference is that row one inludes TV/VCR in addition to Code Search and Power. Row 2's buttons are CBL,DVD/CD/SAT.

There are no numbers on it. I can't find it in google images, at Philips' website, etc. It came in a 2 pack with the PH301S model. Anyone know what type it is? The batteries are dead, dern it. My Zenith TV lost it's power button, so I can't even turn that TV on.

Do you have a digital camera or a scanner? If so, why not take a picture of it and post it. Then I'd advise you to start a new thread for the remote rather than have the info buried in this long thread.
