I know this must be asked a million times, but which remote is for me? I am too new into the universal remote area. Money is an object. :)

I have
DirecTV: a HD receiver AND a SD TiVo receiver
A JVC HD52Z575 D-ILA TV with IR/RF remote
Sony HT-V2000DP A/V receiver
Sony HT-V2000DP combo DVD/VCR player

Thank you for any advice.

I do not know your devices in particular, but for most setups, with money an object, my two best recommendations are the "One for all" remotes
http://www.ofausa.com/

Or the MX500
[Link: universalremote.com]

The one for all remotes tend to be $10-50, and the MX500 is about $80-100.

I recommend getting the one for all with the optional jp1 cable and getting the MX-500 with a low end one for all (both will help in programming), the jp1 allows you to customize and upgrade your one for all via the pc, and if you have an mx500, the purchase of the one for all (perhaps an additional $15-20, often sold linked together by some venders), will allow you to program your mx500 with discrete and advanced codes........or if you lose or dont have your native remote, will allow you to still program most functions.

You did not state your price range........but for more money, you could get one of the more expensive...or pc programmable MX remotes, or perhaps a touchscreen remote..... The $150-1000 price range opens up many more options.

(the MX500 is only IR, but URC, inc, does offer RF remotes/accessories for their more expensive models if this is important, and some of the higher end one for all's do offer rf as well I believe.)
