Hi folks.

I've been through this forum from top to bottom and sadly haven't hit on a solution to my problem, which is this:

I have a Hitachi C28WF540N and the remote has just died. I have tried two seperate universal remotes - a cheap 3-in-1 vivanco and a phillips RU 865. Neither one can find a full code for the TV. I get partial matches for standby mode and channel change, but nothing at all for the AV and the volume down usually ends up as activating the text button.

I'm a newbie to all this lark but am willing to learn - if anyone has any idea what codes might work or even how I can discover the codes (as my original remote is dead the learning functions are out of the question) I could use the help.

I went so far as to try the TV codes for my Sky remote, but they end up doing exactly the same thing!
