Anytime I try to program more than one macro or test the one macro I can program the software crashes.

Make sure you're not running version 227. Do a Live update and see if it pulls anything down. I had a ton of crashing problems with the last version but everything seems to be golden with 228 (it was released last week as far as I recall).
