Hi, this question is for the guys that make their own buttons for the prontos and mx3000 touchscreen remotes, I have PSP 9 but all the books and magazines on drawing and painting on the computer basically cover Adobe Photoshop. Should I invest in purchasing that software or are most of the concepts the same and easily transferable between Adobe and PSP 9.
I plan on getting a Wacom tablet as well, don't know if that helps at all.
Thanks in advance.

Photoshop is to making icons what a nuclear weapons arsenal is to killing a fly.
You'll be more than fine with PSP. You should also be able to learna lot of Photoshop concets and apply them to PSP once you can navigate around the interface comfortably.
Though to be truthful, I also like using a vectored illustration program like Adobe Illustrator for actual drawing. You might want to look at "Canvas" or CorelDraw as much lower priced alternatives if you need/want something like this.
If you're going to be using a tablet (well, even if you're not) make your artwork large and then scale down and touch up. Don't start images small. If you ever need a larger version later you'll be out of luck.
There are also a ton of forums dedicated to this type of artwork in which you'll find more information than you ever wanted. Just Google.
