Hey guys....

I know quite a bit about computers but am DUMB AS A ROCK when it comes to audio and video. I have a Zenith DVD/VCR player, a Sanyo 32" Integrated HDTV, and an Echo star satellite receiver. I am waiting on Dish Network to send my upgrade to the 811 HD receiver.

My question{s} is about getting a remote that will do it all. I would like your advice and recommendations. The "universal" remote that came with the new Sanyo does not work that great. If it were not for just a few issues, it would be OK but it seems like that is what I run into-all the remotes I have tried come close-but no cigar.

For example, the Sanyo remote will bring up the programming guide for the Echostar receiver BUT only if you press "Menu" rather than "Program Guide". And, the "Page Up" and "Page Down" buttons do not work at all. I must use a directional arrow to scroll through the guide one line at a time rather than a page at a time. And, the Sanyo will not eject the DVD or close the tray. Granted, I can live with that but scrolling through the guide one line at a time is tough.

Anyway, I am wondering what is the best remote I can get that will work everything with all my remotes features. It's obvious that I am not getting this at Wal-Mart.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff Farrar

Did just that...read the reviews from Amazon.com and bought a URC9960 Universal 8 Device Kameleon Remote Control.

Thanks,
