I am not surprised you can't get anything to work. That is the most poorly written manual I have seen in a long time. Page 6 gives the method for searching for a code, but I think any code you might find for a Samsung TV will give you the same problems.

In this link, edmund explains why you are having the problem with your Samsung TV. [Link: remotecentral.com]

Since your code doesn't work, and I don't think you have learning capability, you probably will not be able to completely control your Samsung TV.

What people have problems with the most is the non-repeating vol commands and ch. You get only one increment at a time and it stops, you have to release and start again.

Page 6 details the method for searching for a code. It allows you to search forward or reverse, which I guess is a reference to the code numbers. It does not allow you to configure individual buttons so they will react differently to the way you press them.

Here is a link I found to a forum in French. Even after translating the page I couldn't understand all they said. Either you are the poster there or someone else is having the same problem.

I am afraid that the combination of Samsung having different codes and your remote either being older or not able to control the Samsung will not allow you to do what you want. Perhaps a new remote is in your future.

lol^^ it s me in the french forum ( hal_9000) i have post that but nobody have found a way to work

i was thinking that i could configure buttons by buttons ...but if you said that explain the opposite ... it s over ..:-(

thank you ron aronson and edmund... if you have an other way ... or idea ..don't hesite to say it

Edit : in fact i dont understand the part with " quick search mode " and " the power on "

in manuel they said : " then check others keys like Ch + / - and Vol + / - if they can be controlled go back to the step A ...."

but i can understand exactly the step a :-/

thank you

Cya

What they are saying is if you try to find a code by the search method, you can use the power key to test if the code works before going to the next code, but when you find a code that works, then you should use keys like channel + or - to test it again to be sure that the code you selected will work those keys. It says if they can't be controlled go back to step A.
