Time to get rid of the Pronto. I can't deal with the lack of hard buttons when I'm trying to use the menus on my devices.
All of my devices have discretes available... I'm looking at the MX-850 since they have a great reputation vs the Harmony 688? Does the Harmony really live up to what they say-- remembering what state everything is in etc..??

If you have discrete's , you don't have to rely on the harmony "knowing" what the status is. The MX-850 is much more flexible, 100% program it and go. No quirky suprises! Plus yor not at the mercy of a "far away" computer telling you how your system should be operated!
The only "problem" with the 850 is, once your comfortable with the programing, that you keep "discovering" new things to try. But the programing is so easy, you'll look forward to any changes or upgrades!
I wouldn't even consider this a choice.
Mx-850 hands down!!!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device! |
