Now as I am really getting deep into programming, and I have thoroughly researched the http://www.highfi-remote.com I am seeing that there are many TVs and VCRs that:

1. do not have discrete power on and off funcitons, and
2. do not have discrete input/tuner selection functions

I am sure that this has caused much thought (and maybe frustration) in programming and I am inquiring on how you guys have worked around this. Any explainations in your setups would be greatly appreciated by everyone.
