I just purchased a new home theater setup, and have WAY too many remotes...and one too few.

I have a Sony 51" TV, with a Yamaha audio package. The Yamaha sound system came with a 5 disc DVD/CD changer, but no remote. (I bought an open box)

I could go to Yamaha and get another remote, but if possible, I'd like to get an average to above average universal remote.
My concern is that I'll need the DVD remote to "teach" the universal remote.

Can anyone tell me if I will need the DVD remote, and recommend some universal remotes that might work for me?
I also have DirecTV with Tivo, and in a perfect world, would incorporate that in the universal remote.

Thanks for all the help!

getting a decent universal remote that is PC programmable will mean that you should be OK. But to help you find the best remote we will need to know what other features you want and what price range you are looking for
