Any suggestions for a small universal remote that is illuminated that I can use for my DVD Player in my car.

I have two remotes right now in the car; one for the player, and one for the screen. They are really small. Too small in fact. I know eventually my kids will loose them. One of the remotes will probably fall out the car door one day, and I'll drive over it.
Also the remotes use those little watch batteries. I want one that uses AA or AAA batteries.

I want to put them away, and get one universal remote. I probably need a learning remote, and it only has to work with 2 devices.

I was thinking about that Radio Shack Cameleon.

What do you guys think?
Any better suggestions?

Thanks,
JedK

I would recommend the One For All URC-6011 (aka URC-6012 at Walmart). If you go with any of the Kameleon models, stay well clear of the 15-2136, it completely sucks.

That is a nice looking remote, but I think I need a learning remote.
I doubt the DVD player and the remote for the screen are programmed into that remote.

Needs:
Learning remote
Backlight (because we're in the car)
Support for two devices. (I doubt there any that support less than 6).

Thanks,

What is the brand and model number of the DVD player? If we have an upgrade available for it in the JP1 group, I could pre-load a code for it into a URC-6011 remote for you (as I have one available).

Robman,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
I thought this thread was dead.

If you still have that URC-6011, then I am interested.
This is what I have:

Myron & Davis AD212 is the player.

my overhead is the Myron & Davis AXV178
