Has anyone successfully taught a learning remote to operate a Sky+ box. I have a Gemini (made by Philllips) which I taught the down arrow command as a test. It works but each press leads to 2 lines down. The manual implies that the r/c picks up a bitstream and then tops'n'tails it to get the unique command. Doing it badly leads to a jumpy half dozen lines down.
It would be a shame if this r/c has to go back as it does replace 6 out of the 7 that lie around near my TV, etc.

I had this when I programmed one of my remotes, the way I stopped it was to give the sky remote button a short press when learning to the other remote. Otherwise the signal repeats and causes several signals and that what gets learnt.
