Hi. I am not certain that the problem I am having is due to my universal remote, but ,it might be. I have a rca ru410 universal remote that I use to operate an old Zenith TVBR1340z tv/vcr combo (I lost the original remote). I did not have a code for it, so used "code search" under vcr. This allows me to change channels and use the basic vcr functions (play, stop, ff, rw,pause) but nothing else. Now I have just hooked up a new dvd player and although the audio comes through atop the tv audio, there is no video; could this be because I have no means for opting for "line in" on the tv? Is there a better-suited code that might allow me more functions (including line-in) and thus allow the dvd video to play ? I might be completely off, but I thought I would ask those more knowledgable for some help. Thank you!

What you need is a RF modulator, it takes the RCA cables from the DVD player, outputs a RF signal. So all you would to do is set the TV to ch 3 or 4.

Maybe you should describe how you hooked up the DVD player. Does your TV/VCR combo have composite inputs (ie, the red, white and yellow RCA plugs) ?
Rob.
