I want to use a laptop or PDA to transmit some discrete codes to a learning remote using the built in IR port. I have the codes but I don't know what software to use to transmit the codes. I did some searching here but I couldn't find anything. Any ideas?

They are in Hex format, if that helps. I looked at one of the PDA programs and I couldn't find any indication that you could supply your own codes. It will only use preprogrammed or learned codes.

not the Pronto emulator programs. If the codes are from the manufacture and look something like

ON=1A

you will need to change them to something that is more informative
if they loo like

on= 0000 0070 0000 0032 0080 0041 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0031 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0030 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0010 0030 0010 0ab7

then it is a Pronto HEX and you can build a CCF with it using Prontoedit and then use the PDA and the Pronto emulator SW to teach your other remote

Cool! I'll give that a try. They are more like the first example so I will need to change them. Is there a conversion tool?
