I have purchased a Sunwave SCR-9310 remote control in Australia. I dont think they are marketed un the Sunwave brand elsewhere, but i have seen some sunwave remotes under the Crisp Solutions brand. I couldnt find a corresponding Crisp Solutions model for the 9310 though, here is a link of what a 9310 looks like [Link: sunwave.com.tw].

I just have a simple question about it. Can you make custom text labels for the buttons, its really annoying me. I thought that I read somewhere that you could before I bought it, but I may be mistaken. If you cant make custom labels then can you at least change the positioning of the buttons (ie instead of being stuck with having the play symbol in one spot can you put the play symbol in another location).

Remotes like this usually let you switch between 2 or 3 different labels for each button, but they don't let you create your own labels and they don't let you move the buttons around.

This remote looks very similar to the uCommand 515, which is what I was basinc those comments on.

Here's the UC-515:

And here's the Sunwave:

Here's a link to one U.S. distributor of the Sunwave 9310 remote: http://www.simacorp.com/.

There is a user manual available for download from that site, however I believe Rob is correct, the only "customization" you can do is select from one of several pre-programmed icons for each key position.

I don't know where you are in the world, but Maplins in the UK sell several units that look like the Sunwave 3000, 9310 and previously the 9200 units.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/

Also look on the Sunwave website in the download/support section as I have downloaded the 3000 and 9200 instructions from there.

Thanks, everyone. I just noticed there is a review of a Sunwave remote on the front page now.

Disapointing that I cant move buttons, but hey - I can live with it.
