Hello, I have an RCA VR637HF universal remote. It was working, but now I cannot turn the TV on or off. I have a new HD Panasonic TV and none of the codes work with it. There is no code search button on my remote. Somewhere I saw a way to program it and I did, but not I can't find what I did before. I sure would appreciate some help. Thank you, Nancy

PS--I seem to remember that I had to press one of the buttons on the remote on and off lots of times, but that's about it.

Actually, you have an RCA VR637HF VCR, which comes with a remote control which will only operate an RCA, GE, Proscan, or Scenium TV.

If your remote is not the original remote, you will have to furnish the exact model number of the remote.

If it is the original remote, it will not operate your Panasonic TV, but you should be able to get the Panasonic TV remote to operate your VCR, but only for the basic controls.
