Hello all,

I just got a Dell laptop pc, and it has an ir sensor on the side of it. It seems that somewhere on Dell's website, I saw an optional remote to use with this product.

Does anyone know of a code that I can use with one of my RS remotes to allow control of the media player on the laptop??

I would like to be able to hook it into my a/v system and use it to stream content off my server and play on stereo system..........

It's very unlikely that any universals will have built in codes to work a PC. If your RS remote is a learning remote (eg, a 15-1994, 15-2116, 15-2117, etc) then you could get the optional IR remote, learn the signals and then use JP1 to create an upgrade to work it.

If the program you wish to control is "Windows Media Center" then you're in luck, because there's already an upgrade available in the JP1 group, so you wouldn't even need to get the optional remote.
