I am trying to consolidate all remotes into a single remote to control everything for my wife who has multiple sclerosis and is confined to a wheel chair.
The equipment we want to control is as follow: A/V receiver - JVC RX-9010VBK (RF controlled), TV - JVC (DX-32D or something like that), DVD - Sony DVP-CX870 (301-disc jukebox), PVR - ReplayTV 5250 (modified from a 5040), CD - Yamaha (older 200-disc changer), VCR - Symphonics, and X10 - various lights and appliance controllers.
Does anyone know of a remote that can come close to fitting these needs? Able to learn and broadcast both IR and RF? All the buttons needed to navigate a PVR, DVD jukebox, and control X10?
I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you. Doug Berkland

After reviewing some of the other posts, I thought it might help to give a little more information. For the TV just need to be able to send discreet on, off, and inputs, possibly as part of macros. (I think I've seen those codes for this TV somewhere.) And the most commonly used device is the ReplayTV, so prime placement for the "commercial advance", "quick skip", "instant replay", "5-way arrow/select", and volume buttons is highly desired. Preferably hard buttons for those buttons.
Thanks again in advance. Doug Berkland

e pereira uses a Pronto. He is a regular here and has MS. You might want to ask his experience.

Try the HTM MX-800! It is RF so she won't ever have to worry about pointing it ever. Will even work in the kitchen or the bathroom.
