I am looking for the codes to a Hughes DirecTivo for the remote that came with the RAC DRD430RG. I also am looking for the DVD codes as well for a Toshiba DVD player. None of these codes are in the original manual. Thanks

Just a suggestion:

RCA makes a pretty decent remote, the 810. It *should* work mostany rca device somewhat decently, since they support rca devices better than competitor brands. The best part is it's made by ueic (same people that made your 1994). the 1994 is JP-1 ready right out the the box. the 810 probably has a more up to-date database of codes than your older 1994. However, the 810 can be made JP-1 ready with just the soldering in of the 6 pin header. So, if you *had* to upgrade a setup code, it'd be a piece of cake to upload it to BOTH remotes (there is MINOR work to "convert" a file from one to the other). The caveat is there's a know offset to the setup codes betweren the 2 remotes (not in upgraded codes, just pre-installed ones.)

Then you two would just have to fite over who gets which remote ;) The 810 has an lcd screen, BTW, if that matters. I think you can find the 810 on ebay for around 20.00. I wouldn't wait too long in deciding, I have a suspicion RCA is going to quit carrying the 810 in favor of their own version, which I'm sure it will be a crappy rendition, just like all their others (except of course the 810). The 810 is also a learner like your 1994.

Jim
