Just got a radio shack 15-2103 6 in one. I want it to learn codes. I do the procedure:
Hold setup, press 975, enter device key, Press desired key.
This works fine for every key except the power key! I get one blink after the power key only, not the quick flashing that comes up for other keys
Thanks

You can not teach to the power key on the 2103,and you can only teach about 12 or so commands for the whole remote.

Hi Edmund:
Well that has to be the stupidest thing ever! Is there another remote, maybe similar in price etc. that works better that you can recommend? Thanks so much for your time.

The 15-2103 costs only $12 or so, so I'm afraid that there really isn't anything else better in that price range. You get what you pay for. If you want a remote with tons of learning memory, try the Sony VL700 or VL900, they go for something like $35 to $55 or so. Rob http://www.hifi-remote.com

OK, well I went back to Radio Shack and traded the 2103 on a 2133. It looks cooler, but I can't get the Dish Network code to work (didn't work on the 2103 either). Programming the buttons individually also seems problematic as I seem to be running out of memory. Again, your thoughts appreciated and thanks for your time.
