Purchased the URC-6131 to replace my remote for my sony standalone Tivo. I may have a stupid questions so please bare with this newbie. With the sony remote, it would control the sound on the TV (Sony Wega) and the Tivo with out switching anything. With the URC 6131, i have to go from PVR to TV to adjust the volume on the tv then back to PVR. Is that the nature of this remote or am I missing something. Thanks in advance for any help...

Follow these steps;

1. press and hold SETUP for two blinks
2. enter 9-9-3
3. press TV

Now you are able to control the TV sound in every device, even audio, so you need to unlock the vol in the audio device;

1. Press Audio
2. Press and Hold SETUP for two blinks
3. Enter 9-9-3
4. Press Vol-, the light should blink four times.

You can use the "Volume Lock" feature to control the TV volume while in the PVR device mode. See the directions on page 16 of the 6131 owner's manual.

(Sorry Edmund, typing too slow again. ;-) )

WOW! Thanks for the fast response, AND refraining from a typical RTFM comment when it would have been SOOO easy to do so (I swear I read the manual!)

Thanks fellas...
