. . .and I must ponder a replacement.

The remote he destroyed is for the Sony Directivo SAT-T60. It appears as though an OEM replacement costs $54.95.

I also have an HTM SL-9000 which is programmed with most of the other remote's commands. The problem is that my family is pretty technically challenged and has trouble remembering what buttons do what on the SL-9000.

I was thinking that the UCommand 525 might fit the bill, but was a bit put off by the fact that it has no codes preprogrammed. Great price, though and I might be willing to go to the trouble of programming everything. Any other suggestions in the under $100 range?

Thanks.

There's a new PVR remote from ofa, the urc-6131, it has buttons with thumbs on it, it's a great replacement for a tivo remote.
