Hi there guys and gals.
Ive been really annoyed as i lost my remote codes and i was amazed to find this webpage! so to business:
ive got a philips universal SBC RU 422. i dont know how to input the codes, so please tell me how.and i want to use it for my JVC c-1480EK TV and my sony SLV-E200 UX video player.

Good find Anthony, I tried going to the Philips site but I assumed it was a US remote.

Looking at the PDF for this remote, I notice that many of the setup codes are the same as UEI setup codes, only offset by 27, which is a common UEI practice for OEM remotes. They make quite a few of the US Philips remotes also, where the codes are offset by 29.

Some UEI remotes have cool undocumented features.

I just searched the web site, but I will be honest, I know the Eurpean Prontos are SBC RU ### so it did look European to me
...
