Can anyone give me a suggestion of what typoe of remote I should purchase to solve the following situation?
I need to be able to control a Luxman R-114 receiver (the remote does not work anymore) and a Sony SLV-D100 the remote does work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a remote control that I can purchase that will solve my problem?
Thanks.

The MX-500 has 7 codes listed for Luxman, and has plenty of memory to be taught a command to each one of its keys, in all ten of devices it controls. I consider it the best universal remote on the market.

I agree and use it at my house but this is for my future grandmother-in-law and I am looking for something on the either end of the price scale.

If you want cheap, go with the sony VL-700, $35. If one of those 7 codes in the MX-500 works the luxman, teach it to the VL-700.
