I just purchased a RCU800 and the provided codes and code search function will not return proper code/s for my Pioneer DVD-525 DVD player or my Elite VSX-79 home theatre receiver. Is this just another paper weight or are there some additional codes available I might try? Please help.......

Return it, RCA remotes are a piece of crap. Go for a one-for-all/radio shack remotes instead.

I personally like the 15-2116, it costs $30. I f you can find one, the 2104 is being cleared out at $10, it was replaced by the 2116. You should check out the OFA/RS remotes forum on this site.
