I can't get the above combination to work. I have tried the Pre-Programmed codes and starting with AUX155 and learning everything.

The problem is that each command only seems to work once. That is I can move left once, but a second move is ignored, like wise I can start the movie with play, then I can pause, but now play is ignored and I can't get the movie going again.

Switch the DV off and back on, and all the commands again work .... just once.

Is there some kind of reset needed, anyone know how to get around this???

This is the normal behavior for philips gear and learning remotes, if the preprogrammed codes don't work correctly, there isn't much you can do. For explaination, see this thread;

Thanks for your help Edmund

Since it seemed that learning wasn't going to work I tried again with the pre-programmed codes. Found that the Marantz code (083) works even though the Philips (066) one doesn't. Not all the functions work, but at least the major ones, enough to watch a movie anyway.

Thanks, Nigel
