I have the Proton src-2000/Crisp Solutions Ucommand 616.
The remote learned all of my components I had.
Until, that is, I got Comcast digital cable.
The universal remote given by Comcast works to control the cable box, but my remote cannot learn any functions from it.
Is it because its a universal? I had all my original remotes from my TV, VCR, DVD and Receiver, and the remote learned those with no problem.

HELP!!!!

It may be that Comcast is using frequencies outside the range of your remote. Do you know the model number of the box and/or the remote they gave you?

I believe the Comcast Digital Cable box is a General Instruments. Try code 0476 for starters. (Got this data from my Comcast ReplayTV book.
