Can anyone recommend some remotes that have X-10 codes built in or that will work with X-10 home automation systems.

It all depends on what kind of X10 converter you are using. If you are using an RF-to-X10 converter (it's a small device with an antenna that plugs into an electrical outlet), then you will need an official X10 remote to send out the required RF signal.

But if you are using an IR-to-X10 converter (model number IR543) you can use just about any One For All or Radio Shack universal, using Home Auto code 0167 (this is a CD code on many of the remotes).

However if you are using an IR-to-X10 converter the remote will only control X10 devices when in that room.

As far as I can tell the only real option is the x10 learning 8 in 1 remote.
