surely someone knows about PIP on a RCA remote, it give you no option for selecting the PIP window so you cant change the PIP window to another channel?

If all you available to you are the PIP ON/OFF, SWAP and MOVE buttons, you could swap the main image with the PIP image, then change the channels in the normal way, and then swap them back.

The additional buttons you would need are PIP CH+ and PIP CH-, assuming that the picture in the small window is a live TV feed and not a line input (ie, VCR, DVD, etc).

I have no idea what buttons are on the RCA remote, nor how you might re-program them though.

If your tv has two tuners, you can do what you are trying to, but you have to get both channel up/down im,plemented in your remote. If it doesn't, you must provide an outside tunig source, such as your vcr ot other device outside your tv. This device must be cinnected to the av (video or video 1,2, or 3) , depending on how many other inputs your tv has. The you d select that inpus with your tv/video button (with the pip on), and tune on the vcr for your second channel input.
So your first step is to determine if the TV truly has 2 tuners.
