I'm about to buy a universal remote to free up my creaking coffee table. I have a Sony TV, Yamaha theatre amp, Toshiba DVD player, Panasonic satellite box and a SCART control box. Will this mixture cause problems?
I'm looking at a Phillips Pronto, a Marantz RC5000, the new Yamaha or a Hardmon Kardon TC1000. I realise that the first 3 are all the same kit with a different skin but can anyone advice me which to go for? I would like it to me Mac compatible. Is this impossible?

Thanks

Geoff

none are mac compatible. (and as far as I know there is no other remote out there that is)

the three first are the best, I would either go with the Pronto or Marantz. There is the new Marantz 5200 that might interest you, and is the most different (it has more buttons) Read the review to get a list of all the differences between the three.

There have been many who have used the Pronto with a mac, but you will need a windows emulator.
