I just ordered an MX-500 universal remote for my husband for Christmas from RRdeals.com ($124.99). When the site confirmed my order, they said I would be receiving the "latest firmware version". What does this mean? I wasn't aware that this model had different versions. Since the price that I paid was a lot less than a lot of the big internet stores, I'm worried that I may be getting a lesser version. If anyone could clarify, that would be great. Thanks, Catherine

About six months ago, there were some upgrades to the MX-500 that included support for certain Pioneer devices, a reduction in the macro implementation time from 2 seconds to one second and the ability to end a macro on the MAIN page. This is the "latest firmware version" they're talking about. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Mike www.surfremotecontrol.com

Catherine: There is a forum dedicated to HTM (that makes the MX-500) even though you got a fast response here, asking it there might get you a faster response, and you might even see things you did not think of doing or asking. Here is a link [Link: remotecentral.com]
