Hi, I need a universal remote that will control the Echostar/JVC Dishplayer 7200 out of the box (or without too much tinkering). This includes all the PTV functionality not just the basic stuff. I will also use it for my JVC TV and VCR, for now.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, I got the RCA URC 810 today. Out of the box it can only control the basic Dishplayer functions (on/off, volume, channels, recall, webtv) using the SAT/1022 code. I used the DP remote to learn all the PTV functions, which was very easy. You can use most buttons on the RCA to learn from another remote. The RCA has most buttons labeled correctly for usage with the DP (Menu, Guide, Info etc) unlike some other remotes. Programming the JVC TV and VCR was also very easy, only had to learn the video taping functions of the VCR.
Overall a very good remote, nice blue backlighting, good shape, functional. I have learned about 20 buttons so far without any problems.

20 buttons is close to the limit of what the RCU810 can learn, if you find that you are likely to need much more than that, you can hack the RCU810 using JP1, which will allow you to create new codes for any devices that require too much learning, such as the Displayer.
