I am in the UK and have got everything woeking on my 616 except my digital cable box. It's a Pace DI1000T. When I try learning the 616 says it's done it but it obviously hasn't. Any ideas?

You might have one of the IRDA Pace boxes. They're pretty much impossible to work with on a learning remote.

You're probably right. It was the 616 saying it had learnt OK that got me,

Well, sometimes it'll *think* it picked up something.

You may want to try learning from a different universal remote that can control your Pace box.

I'm having exactly the same problem as Steve. Daniel, what does IRDA stand for? What's the problem with these boxes?

I have a recently installed NTL digital STB and an SRC2000 remote( seems to be the same as the UCommand-616 from www.crispsolutions.com. Check-out [Link: proton-usa.com] will control the STB but the code learning is odd. I can provide an description of how I've done it if anyone is interested.
IRDA is just a bidirectional IR signal standard used for computers and such. I don't think this is the problem.

Hi Dave,

Yes I would be interested, anything to get my NTL DITV2000 STB to work with any universal remote.

Thanks

Hi Dave,

I'd be really interested to know how you got the pace box (I have a telewest DI1010T) working with your src-2000 (I'm also in the UK).

Cheers

I stumbled across this site after contacting sun-wave.com, makers of the U616 or Smart SDS2000 as I have the same problem with NTL! I contacted their UK distributor who could only offer the following - "Sorry! but we nor anyone else can emulate the NTL code in any way. We are working on it but can offer no quick fix at the moment".

Any ideas where to look for Macintosh compatable software as I've bought the docking station but it only works with PC's!!

I live in hope. Kelvin
