I just bought a uc515 and am very impressed with it. my biggest complaint is the three dark blotches at the top of the screen when illuminated. Some catalog/product shots show the blotches, while others don't. I noted a post from "grfxguy" said same thing. Is this a "universal" design problem or a defect in mine?

Thanks!

Dan,
When the backlight is on, you may see a dark spot in the upper part of the display, above the MACRO button.
This is normal. The spot comes from the ambient light sensor for the auto backlight, which is hidden behind the display. The screen illumination may not be perfectly even across the display.
We posted some pictures with the real look of the display to make sure people know what to expect.
We also put a note about this with all the new products shipping.
