I just purchased a RCA RCU-810 and love it. My question is this. When using I think the 1022 code for my Dishplayer, the RCU-810 did not come pre-programmed for the 7200. I was able to load all the funtions, but my question is did I do something wrong or are others having the same problem?

Hey Stu,
Could you ask your question again, I can't tell what you're asking from your first post.

Maybe I didn't make it very clear.

I have a DISHPLAYER 7200, with PTV.

After I got my RCU-810 I set it up for an ECHOSTAR receiver, and I think I used the 1022 code from the Instruction book.

I thought that after I setup the RCU-810 for my Dishplayer that it would AUTOMATICALLY work with my 7200 Dishplayer. That is, functions like PTV.

It didn't, I had to LEARN those functions into the receiver.

I guess my question is, Did I use the right code for the 7200 Receiver???

I was under the impression that the RCU-810 already came pre-loaded to operate the 7200 DISHPLAYER.

Hope this is clearer.

Was the "PTV" button the only one missing, where you able to operate the rest of the Echostar functions with the device code you selected?

Most universal remotes will have certain buttons missing when you program a device code, that's why remotes like the RCU810 have a small amount of learning memory available so you can add them in manually.

Stu,

The 1022 code is correct for Dishplayer, however it only does basic functions under that code like on/off, the number keys, etc. All of the ptv functions and also things like: listings, home, back, recent, etc have to be "learned" from the origional remote.

I was able to "learn" every function I needed for the dishplayer and still have memory left over for some other devices.
