? Yes, there's a help button that brings up the power button for each component in the room you're in. It also brings up some other buttons that can get our of sync such as source or input selections. When you have the device back in sync, just hit the back button and your good to go.

I read the manual and it looks like there is no way to add, remove or move buttons on a given panel. Is that correct? (I wish they had the panel layouts all on their web site.) I'm curious about the TV - PIP panel. Sony has some PIP stuff that some of the others' don't have. I guess they must have a custom internal panel designed for each manufacturer or something to be able to handle model differences. (BTW: I use PIP constaintly, unlike some people who never use it.) Model differences are usually huge also in the TV Menu/Setup panels. (My Sony HD with cablecard has all kinds of special stuff in the setup panels.)
How do they handle that kind of stuff with this generic panel system?

i doubt that this remote will work with my Yamaha ysp-1.

It should be able to learn any functions of the ysp-1 manually if the codes aren't preinstalled. The remote also has some extra "custom user" buttons for each component you have incase you need to program any extra buttons not setup for the particulay component you have chosen.

So can you label the 'custom user' buttons with a name (like PIP) or do they have a generic, unchangeable label/name? (I wish the manual had more detail. I don't think that was documented.)

i doubt that this remote will work with my Yamaha
ysp-1.
I have a YSP-1 at my store and it works it without any problem. I didn't even have to learn it any codes. It cycled through the on-board codes for Yamaha receivers and got to the right one on the first try. Pretty cool. I had my doubts on its ability to work the YSP-1.

after looking around a lil more im gettin the NEVO SL. im looking for somithing i can fully customize, the rc9800i is not a customizable remote
