Dear all,
I recently bought a RC9800i in the USA. I am living in Austria and would like
to change the device from US to European mode. I therefore tried to upgrade
the firmware to 2.0.80b and also did a downgrade to 2.0.78 (both European
versions). And here comes the big problem: The initial setup wizard does not
appear. It seems as if the remote control is still set to US with some of the
device codes missing.
Both firmware upgrades / downgrades were sucessful, the current firmware
versions are shown in the 'About' screen of the 9800i. So I would say that the
firmware IS being changed, but the setup wizard is not starting after the remote
resets itself.
What can I do ? Is there a way to reset the RC9800i manually (switching the device
on and off does not solve the problem) ?
