Is it possible to us the Philips RFX9400 w/ the RC9800i?

I keep reading about the RFX9400 being WiFi. I need a Wifi to IR for Equipment in a Closet & in cabinets. Will this work or is this RFX9400 just for the Pronto's only?

The Philips RFX9400 is exclusively for use with the Pronto TSU9600.

Unfortunately the RC9800i is not part of the Pronto family and there are no extenders for it.

However, any third party IR repeater system can be used to get the IR from the remote into a cabinet or even another room.
