I installed Pronto NG successfully as administrator on my Windows 7 PC, and I can work on my PCF without trouble. When I plug my TS7500 into a USB port and try to dowloadd the PCF, however, it refuses. How do I fix this?

Yes, seems like solution offered required installing a virtual XP system, meaning it's something only for developers, not civilians.

Well, you are using a remote that was discontinued in 2007.

Is there a current model you'd recommend where I could simply Import my [extremely complicated] PCF?

A TSU9400 perhaps (The Pro Forum). Note that all Pronto Remotes have been discontinued and are no longer being manufactured.

...so the TSU9400 editing software is also incompatible with Windows 7?

It is available in the Pro Files Section. Give it a try. You will want to start with the TSU9400 Configurator first and then give ProntoEditPro Version 2 (PEPV2) a try. But, let me warn you. If the task of relinking your buttons is too much to bear, the 9400 Configurator or PEPV2 will definitely pose a steeper learning curve upon you.

why don't you use the virtual XP system that, as a Windows 7 user is available FREE from Microsoft - presuming you are using a legal copy of W7 above the base level. I've used it for years and it is very easy to do
