I was wondering if anyone has come across the following problem and knows what might be causing it:
I use the pronto with RF to control my equipment, including a Foxtel IQ (satellite) box. I recently added a 5.8gHz AV Sender so I can watch foxtel in another room.
The problem......when the av sender is switched on the pronto will not work at all for the foxtel box. It works fine for the other equipment eg avr, pvr etc. As soon as I turn the av sender off the pronto works again.
The av sender is plugged into the foxtel box via std RCA cables.
Anyway.........not the end of the world ie just switch it off, but mildly annoying.

Try moving the AV sender. The One I used to have operated as a RF remote receiver as well, transmitting RF on the same frequency as my pronto (I'm in the UK so a different frequency obviously, I presume your US ones may be also on the same frequency)
It could be the transmitter part of the AV sender is also picking up the pronto RF and drowning out/interfering with the IR transmitted by the AV transmitter.
Maybe try taping over the transmitting eye of the AV sender to prevent this interference
